Kicker Rock (León Dormido) is one of the most iconic landmarks in the Galápagos Islands and is widely recognized as one of the best snorkeling sites in the archipelago. Located off the coast of San Cristóbal Island, this impressive volcanic rock formation is home to an extraordinary diversity of marine life and offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

During the snorkeling experience at Kicker Rock, you may encounter sea turtles, rays, Galápagos sharks, tropical fish, and many other marine species. With a bit of luck, you may even spot hammerhead sharks in their natural habitat. The cliffs surrounding the rock formation are also home to blue-footed boobies, masked boobies, frigatebirds, and other iconic Galápagos seabirds.

Itinerary

08:30 AM – Meet at the Galápagos Xcursion office for check-in, snorkeling equipment fitting, and briefing.

09:00 AM – Departure from the San Cristóbal pier to begin the excursion.

Depending on the itinerary assigned by the Galápagos National Park and the operational conditions of the day, the excursion may begin with a visit to Kicker Rock or with a beach stop.

Kicker Rock

Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of snorkeling at one of the most famous marine sites in the Galápagos Islands. During the activity, you may observe Galápagos sharks, rays, sea turtles, tropical fish, and occasionally hammerhead sharks.

Beach

Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes at Cerro Brujo, Manglesito Beach, or Puerto Grande, depending on the authorized itinerary for the day. Guests can relax, walk along the beach, enjoy the scenery, and observe local wildlife.

03:00 PM – Return to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno pier. End of the excursion.
