The Cabo Rosa Tuneles (Los Túneles) are one of the most spectacular natural attractions in the Galápagos Islands. Formed by ancient lava flows that cooled and eroded over time, creating arches, bridges, and tunnels above crystal-clear waters, this unique site offers some of the most breathtaking scenery in the archipelago and an exceptional opportunity to observe wildlife in its natural habitat.
Throughout the excursion, you will have the opportunity to encounter a wide variety of Galápagos species both on land and underwater. Depending on the conditions of the day, sightings may include sea turtles, whitetip reef sharks, rays, tropical fish, seahorses, blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, pelicans, and many other species that inhabit this extraordinary protected area.
The departure time for this tour depends on the availability authorized for each day. There are two operational schedules:
07:30 AM – Morning departure
11:30 AM – Midday departure

The first stop of the excursion is Roca Unión, an impressive rock formation located in the open ocean. During the navigation, you may observe several species of seabirds, including pelicans, Nazca boobies, and blue-footed boobies. With a little luck, you may also spot Galápagos sea lions resting on the rocks.
The next stop is Los Finados, one of the main snorkeling sites along the route. Here you will have the opportunity to swim alongside sea turtles, whitetip reef sharks, trumpetfish, surgeonfish, and a wide variety of marine life. Occasionally, eagle rays and golden rays can also be spotted in the area.
After navigating toward Cabo Rosa, you will explore the famous lava tunnel formations that make this site one of the most photographed destinations in the Galápagos Islands.
The visit includes navigation through natural channels and lava formations, snorkeling activities, and short walks along authorized trails where you can admire the stunning scenery and observe wildlife inhabiting the area.
