Description
The Cabo Rosa Tuneles are ancient lava formations populated by various animals endemic to the Galapagos Islands.
The first stop on this tour is a point called Roca UniĂłn in the middle of the sea. At this rock located in the open sea we will be able to observe pelicans, Nazca boobies and blue-footed boobies and the occasional sea lion resting or sunbathing on the rocks. The Finados snorkeling site is the next stop, where you can swim with sea turtles, white tip sharks (endemic to Galapagos), trumpet fish and surgeon fish. With a little luck, eagles and golden rays will also arrive at this site.
Getting to Los TĂșneles will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once there, the speedboat will navigate through several points in and around the Lava Tuneles. Here you have the opportunity to do more snorkeling and enjoy short hikes while observing the scenery and wildlife that inhabits the area.
The Tuneles tour schedule will vary depending on the availability of the day, as there is one departure at 7:30 am and another at 11:30 am.
